- Non-transferable: the license for Royalty-free content is non-transferable, meaning you cannot sell, give away, or transfer the content to someone else for their use. The license is typically granted to the individual or organisation that originally acquired it.
- Non-exclusive: Royalty-free content is non-exclusive, meaning that multiple individuals or entities can use the same content simultaneously. You won't have exclusive rights to the content, and others can use it as well.
- Restrictions on 'Product on demand' Merchandise: Unless specifically granted authorisation through a Bridgeman Images invoice, sales order confirmation, or licensing agreement, you are prohibited from using the content in conjunction with 'on-demand' products. This encompasses products where a licensed image is chosen by a third party for customization, such as postcards, mugs, t-shirts, calendars, posters, mobile phone screensavers, or wallpapers, among others. This restriction also applies to the sale of products through individually designed websites and platforms.
- Restrictions on Electronic Templates: Unless expressly authorised in a Bridgeman Images invoice, sales order confirmation, or licensing agreement, you are not permitted to utilise the content in electronic or digital templates designed for resale or other forms of distribution. This includes, but is not limited to, templates for websites, business cards, electronic greeting cards, and brochure designs.
- Restrictions on Trademarks and Logos: Unless explicitly granted authorisation in a Bridgeman Images invoice, sales order confirmation, or licensing agreement, you are prohibited from using the content (either in its entirety or partially) as the distinctive or identifying element of a trademark, design mark, trade name, business name, service mark, or logo. Furthermore, you are not entitled to register such content (either wholly or partially) as a trademark in any jurisdiction, nor can you rely on such registrations, prior usage, or accrued goodwill to impede third-party utilisation of the content or similar content (including usage by us, our clients, or the copyright owner of the content).
- Restriction on Machine Learning, AI, or Biometric Technology Usage: Unless specifically granted authorisation through a Bridgeman Images invoice, sales order confirmation, or licensing agreement, you are not allowed to utilise the content (including any caption details, keywords, or other associated metadata) for machine learning and/or artificial intelligence applications or for technologies intended for the identification of individuals. It's important to note that Bridgeman Images does not guarantee that consent has been obtained for such purposes concerning content featuring individuals who have granted model releases.
- Restriction on Metadata Utilisation: Unless explicitly authorised by Bridgeman Images, you are not permitted to utilise caption information, keywords, accompanying text, or any other metadata associated with content independently of the content itself. Furthermore, you may not grant third parties access to or use of any such information linked to the content.
- Restriction on NFT Usage: Unless expressly authorised in a Bridgeman Images invoice, sales order confirmation, or licensing agreement, you are not allowed to utilise any content in conjunction with an unalterable digital asset intended for sale or other forms of distribution, such as a non-fungible token (NFT).
